Laura is an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) and is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she furthered her education and received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her career, Laura has had many years of experience counseling children who struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as leading small groups for children helping them learn to process experienced trauma. Laura has worked with individuals of all ages and diversities, including those who have special needs, such as autism, Downs Syndrome, dyslexia, and other learning differences. She enjoys working from a client-centered approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. Laura is a mother of two, and understands that when a child struggles, the whole family is affected. Because of this, she is passionate about providing therapy that will promote individual growth and healing, while supporting the family unit as a whole. Laura is currently taking new clients. She accepts private pay and provides clients a superbill for them to submit to insurance. Laura works M-F.
