Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with over 13 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Art and her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from the University of Montevallo. Elizabeth’s background in art allows her to connect with children in creative and meaningful ways that feel natural and engaging.
Elizabeth has extensive experience helping families navigate children on the autism spectrum, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions, and she takes a trauma-informed, child-centered approach to care. She is trained in several evidence-based therapies, including TF-CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Child-Parent Relational Therapy, which help children and families feel safe, supported, and empowered.
She specializes in working with young children ages 3–7 through play therapy, as well as supporting children on the autism spectrum, and helping families navigate divorce and blended family dynamics. While Elizabeth primarily works with children, she also enjoys working with teens and adults when appropriate.
Elizabeth believes therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths. She is an LGBTQ+ ally, values inclusivity and cultural awareness, and is deeply committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where every family feels respected and understood.
