Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She is a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art and a Master’s degree in Couples, Marriage, and Family Counseling. Elizabeth incorporates her art background into her counseling practice in creative and impactful ways.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth has worked with diverse individuals, young adults, and families coping with anxiety, depression, grief, and substance abuse. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child-Parent Relational Therapy (CPRT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Brainspotting. She works from a trauma-informed, nervous system-based perspective to help children and families celebrate strengths, foster resilience, and improve overall well-being.
Elizabeth specializes in supporting children on the autism spectrum, as well as helping individuals and families navigate divorce and blended family dynamics. She brings a compassionate and collaborative approach to these challenges, tailoring her work to meet each client’s unique needs.
While Elizabeth primarily works with children, she also counsels teens and adults. She approaches her work from a collaborative and holistic perspective, empowering clients to meet their goals. An LGBTQ+ ally, she values cultural competence, continuous learning, and the inherent autonomy and worth of all individuals. She is committed to the work of anti-racism and creating a safe, inclusive space for all clients.
