Meet your counselor, Elizabeth Gross. Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional (LPC), and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She is a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art and a Master’s degree in Couples, Marriage and Family Counseling. Elizabeth utilizes her art background to inform her counseling practice in creative ways. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has worked with diverse individuals, young adults, and families coping with anxiety, depression, grief, and substance abuse. Additionally, she is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Relational Therapy, and EMDR. Elizabeth has a deep passion for children and families affected by trauma; she enjoys working with these individuals to celebrate strengths, repair attachment bonds, and to increase overall well-being. Elizabeth specializes in play therapy with children ages 3-12, and believes in the powerful benefits of play to build self-esteem, process feelings and experiences, and promote healthy development.
