Kelsey works with children as young as three, with special interests in ADHD and neurodivergence, behavioral challenges, medical trauma, abuse, grief, and family transitions, including divorce. Her background in play therapy and child life informs her developmentally appropriate approach, which incorporates play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques. She believes play is a child’s language and an important way for children to express themselves, process experiences, and make sense of their world.
Kelsey believes children do the best they can with the skills and support available to them. She looks beyond behavior to understand each child’s needs and creates a welcoming space where children can be themselves, work through difficult experiences, and grow at their own pace. She believes therapy can be both meaningful and fun, with plenty of room for curiosity, creativity, and laughter.
Kelsey partners with parents and caregivers to better understand their child, build on family strengths, and support progress beyond the therapy room. She believes families deserve to feel heard, valued, and included throughout the therapeutic process.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys getting lost in a good book, cheering on Alabama football, collecting ONLY cute Pokémon cards, and spending time with her animals. She believes meaningful growth can come with a little hard work, a lot of connection, and plenty of laughter and fun. Kelsey will bill BCBS and accepts private pay. Kelsey offers faith based counseling upon request. To schedule an appointment with Kelsey call
